Need money for college? myUsearch scholarships for students
Our mission: myUsearch exists to increase access to education by improving the college recruiting process. In addition to helping students find their perfect college and colleges find their perfect students, we direct at least 10% of profits to offer scholarships for students. As more people use myUsearch, more scholarships will be available (tell all your friends!). Paying for college is a huge challenge. We hope our scholarships will help.
SCHOLARSHIP STEPS
1. Complete the myUsearch.com college matching questionnaire to find your college match. 2. After you complete the college matching questionnaire, click on "My Search is Complete". 3. Fill out the scholarship right away or use the login and password that will be emailed to you to apply later. 4. Complete the online application, including essay. 5. Your application will be reviewed.

Scholarship for Left Handed People $1,000 Deadline: June 1, 2010
Did you ever wonder if anything good would come out of being a left handed student? We've decided to offer scholarships for left handed people. This scholarship is open to any left handed student that plans to pursue an undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. This scholarship is open to first-year or transfer students who have not yet enrolled in the college they hope to attend and will begin their first semester on or before October of 2011. All applicants must have a combined household income of less than $100,000. A written or video essay answering these questions is required: "What is the biggest challenge you face in earning a college degree? What can colleges and universities do to help you overcome this challenge and encourage others with similar challenges to further their education?"

Mommy Goes to College - A Scholarship for Women Who are Moms $1,000 Deadline: December 31, 2010
This scholarship for women is open to mothers pursuing an undergraduate college degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. This scholarship for women is open to first-year or transfer students who have not yet enrolled in the college they hope to attend and will begin their first semester on or before October of 2011. All women applying for this scholarship must have a combined household income of less than $100,000. A written or video essay answering these questions is required: "What is your biggest challenge as a mother trying to get a degree? What can colleges and universities do to help you overcome this challenge and encourage other mothers to further their education?" myUsearch looks forward to awarding this scholarship for women who are moms.

College admissions frustrations and how would you change it - $1,000
Stephanie Sidwell of Colchester, Illinois is a liberal arts major at Spoon River College. Her essay response focused on the problems more nontraditional (or older) students face when trying to enroll in college. Her suggestions for improving the process, such as weighting high school grades based on your age and using an aptitude test for students of a particular age, were concise and realistic for colleges to actually implement.
