Six 2018 Fashion Trends That Are Still Around This Year

It can be tempting to clear out your wardrobe every year. This means that your wardrobe won’t be cluttered with out-of-trend items – but before you throw anything anyway, remember that some 2018 male fashion trends are still big in 2019.

From utilitarian clothes to wide-leg pants, some trends are clearly here to stay. Here are six 2018 fashion trends that are still around in 2019.

Skater Clothes

Skatewear has been back in fashion for a few years, and it doesn’t seem like it is going away any time soon. Baggy camo pants, vans and brands like Airwalk and DC are all very popular right now, and there are lots of ways to try out this look. Invest in some skater trainers, or go for a baggy t-shirt if you are feeling bold.

High-Quality Tactile Fabrics

Tactile fabrics such as velvet, suede, corduroy and moleskin were fairly popular in 2018, and they are just as popular this year. The fabrics are mostly used for coats, trousers and shoes, and the different textures can make almost any outfit seem more stylish.

Relaxed Shirts

Relaxed, comfortable shirts are very popular right now. These shirts are made from a high-quality breathable fabric, and they are normally quite loose. We can get behind this trend; after all, everyone likes to be comfortable!

Utilitarian Clothes

Utilitarian military-style fashion is also still in trend. Try out this look by investing in a military jacket or a crew neck t-shirt.

Brown Anything

Brown may not seem like a cool colour, but it is dominating male fashion at the moment. Brown shoes, brown coats and brown trousers are all very popular, and it tends to add a 70s vibe to any outfit.

Wide-Leg Trousers

Trousers with a wider leg (such as dad jeans and pleated trousers) have also become more popular. This trend is pretty bold, so it won’t be for every man – but if you want to try it, we suggest that you start off with a denim wide fit. This is because denim is a very versatile fabric, so it should be easy for you to style the jeans. Just make sure they are slightly wide rather than baggy!
